Many of us in our lives as we were growing up have been told to be strong!  Stand up for yourself!  Don’t be afraid!  Do what needs to be done!

We have also been told to ask God to give you strength to make it!  We’ve probably said many, many times “God give me strength!” 

We just want to be strong!  Why wouldn’t we?  Strength is good.  Weakness is bad.

Right?

It says in the Bible to be strong in the Lord!  That’s in Ephesians 6:10.  That was one that I used to quote all the time years ago. 

However, I missed something.  The rest of the verse says that your strength should be in His strength. 

Here is how the Amplified Bible puts it:

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. 

                                                                                                                            Ephesians 6:10

Listen to that:  Be empowered through your union with Him!  Draw your strength from Him! 

He has strength that has no bounds!  No limits!  No boundaries!

Be strong in the Lord…in His mighty strength!
